Last Sunday was our first 6 hr + Nordic walk and it proved to be an epic! Lostwithiel to Fowey, with a spot of lunch at the harbour before the return, the 8.2 miles distance in certain oars of the country would be a snip, however as SW walkers know the terrain we have with height increases and losses give most routes a testing time. The weather was perfect and we will be competing a long day walk each month during the summer, well worth our earlier 9am starts which beat the holiday makers and give us parking with no problems.

db Fitness club have had a gr8 week of classes, gr8 fun and have shown group cohesion and togetherness, new routines in class each week as the bar is raised as fitness improves, aiming for your own personal level ensues you will always achieve .

Our PT members had a week of adjusting sessions, non were missed which is a measure of gr8 dedication and with targets being met we look forward to being fitter, faster and stronger – with the weather not something to look forward to at the moment, we ave a lot of stuff to give us all motivation.

The Nordic waling plan to September has been ‘tweaked’ and will continue to do so as we progress with our out and about walks every Sunday, Taster sessions and curses are arranged to suit you – Our Sunday club will be joined by a weekly club just as soon as we have the members who cannot make a weekend session with a wellness club also in the pipeline

This Sunday we are up at Minions and will complete our ‘fig 8’ route which takes in Carradon hill, we will be in and around the area for approx 3 hrs starting at 9am
